It is bittersweet that I am writing my first blog post on this new blog.

Bitter because I’ve had a blog for so many years with a decent amount of content, which was infected with malware because the host site, bluehost, did not have a built- in firewall like wordpress does. So imagine my shock when I realized my blog could no longer be viewed. My options were to pay a ridiculous amount of money to bluehost and have them fix a problem I feel shouldn’t have happened in the first place or start afresh.

Starting fresh meant letting go of my blog. The unfortunate thing is that my posts and pictures have a red warning screen, so I couldn’t import them to this new blog without bringing the malware with me.

So I decided to start afresh. I decided I was going to let go over the past, be sad over it, but move on. That blog was for my 20’s and I am now in my 30’s. There are so many new things in my life and I am a new person, or maybe a different person, so I am looking forward to how I blog in this season.

The ability to start fresh is the sweet in the bittersweet equation.

I am happy to embark on this journey. I hope to bring components of my life that I have hidden for so long. I hope to write about hard things, but also things that bring joy.

A toast to starts and ends.
